In Nigeria however, women are unable to meet the challenges of the 21st century as a result of illiteracy.
Statistics show that 123 million Nigerians are illiterate and out of this 73 million are women.
The Ark of Cypress Women empowerment Center participated in the global celebration of the international women’s day. And in a bid to eradicate illiteracy from amongst women in our society we enjoin all well meaning individuals to support our drive for the education of the girl child in Nigeria as illitetacy anywhere in the world is an act of injustice.
